What is Cavi Lipo?
Cavi-Lipo is a full-body cellulite reduction and body contour treatment performed in our Burlington, MA Medspa to help patients redefine their bodies. It breaks down cellulite with fast and uniform results to take inches off while smoothing and tightening the skin simultaneously. Fat cells associated with cellulite can now be eliminated using ultrasound waves that leave the body slimmer and more toned without any discomfort or downtime.
What happens to the released fat?
After disruption and emulsification of the fat cells, the liquid that makes up the fat cells, in the form of triglycerides, is released into the interstitial fluid between the cells. This fluid is then metabolized to glycerol and free fatty acids. Water soluble glycerol is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as the energy source, whereas the insoluble free fatty acids are transported to the liver and processed as fatty acids from food. Cavi Lipo causes an emulsification of the fat, releasing the triglyceride fluid which is easy to eliminate through the urine and the lymphatic system.
What will I feel during the treatment?
Cavi Lipo treatments are comfortable and can be described as relaxing treatments. There will be a noise experienced during the treatment that can be mildly irritating but will cease immediately after the treatment.

Yes, Cavi Lipois a nonsurgical procedure without anesthesia, it is non-invasive and can even be done on your lunch break!
What Areas can be treated with Cavi Lipo?
All areas with localized fat: thighs, abdomen, and buttocks are the most appropriate but there is no real limitation as to areas of the body although we cannot treat the female breast.
Is there anything I need to do prior to my Cavi Lipo Session?
We recommend a low carbohydrate diet and drinking at least 2 liters of water before and after the session. After the session, you will be required to do a small amount of cardio (brisk walk/jog) for about half an hour. We will give you a post-care sheet that we recommend you follow to help optimize your results.
How many sessions are typically needed?
Between 6 and 12 sessions, with most clients experiencing a noticeable difference after the third session.
What are the contraindications of Cavi Lipo?
We do not recommend treating people with the following conditions:
- Liver disease
- Kidney disease
- Heart problems (including pacemakers)
- Pregnancy and/or lactating
- Metal implants or electrical devices eg. metal hip joints, pacemakers, plates, pins, staples.
